Ameet and Palvi Trek 13 miles
for Alzheimer's Fundraising
Every three minutes someone in the UK is told they have dementia, and there is no cure. We are in a race to defeat dementia, by taking part in Trek13 we raise vital funds so researchers can get closer to a cure.
Ameet Kotecha, Founder of Boutique Care Homes and his wife Palvi Kotecha walked 13 miles, experiencing the capital like never before as they took this epic trek around London - everything from world famous tourist attractions to hidden gems of the city, absorbing the atmosphere and contrast of both bustling streets and quiet green spaces.
They found it to be a really moving experience trekking with people who have experienced the journey of dementia with their loved ones and are committed to creating a world of difference. Ameet and Palvi commented, “Whilst walking Ameet and I remembered and honoured all the residents in our care homes – it was important to give the day a meaning and purpose. Those last couple of miles was tough but with determination we made it!”
