‘Name The Bear’ charity fundraising competition in aid of Alzheimer’s Society
This Easter weekend we held a ‘Name The Bear’ charity fundraising competition in aid of Alzheimer’s Society. We have been very kindly donated this wonderful bear by local businesswoman Yasmin Parnham, thank you so much Yasmin!
All our residents had a go picking a name!...with all proceeds going to Alzheimer’s Society. The mystery winning name will be “scratched off” the name card to reveal the correctly guessed name! This will happen on Friday 9th April!! The winner will be announced and win the bear!
Easter Crafts and Heatwave Fun
Our beautiful garden gave us the perfect place to enjoy exercise, games and a nice bit of rest & relaxation! One afternoon we had a bit of fun creating egg-versions of ourselves!...plus a few ideas that could challenge Faberge himself! An amazing Easter cake was made by our wonderful chef Marie!.. a bunny disappearing into a chocolatey rabbit hole!
Birthday Celebrations and a Bunny Hop Race
Rather than having a day at the “horse races” .. we decided to have a day at the “bunny hop”! 2 races produced 2 very quick bunnies! Well done to our race winners Doreen and Jean! A very happy end to the week with yet another wonderful birthday celebration, games of charades and some spectacular paper aeroplane displays! Happy Birthday John and Happy 80th Birthday Jo!! Keep on dancing!
Food Forum
Our wonderful Head Chef Jennifer held a Food Forum for our residents to discuss their food preferences, likes & dislikes .. and brought along a wide variety of very tasty new ideas for our Spring starters menu!
