Boules and Poetry

Social fun and games! A special bird watching morning observing a sparrow hawk, keep fit classes to Neil Diamond greatest hits! This afternoon film club with two separate films: Elizabeth - Golden age and Pulang. Glamour and keeping fit and fabulous to the beat of Lionel Richie. Enjoying the outdoors for a brisk walk and a game of boules, a beautiful poetry reading of Autumn while our artists continue to impress us with their enthusiasm and beautiful work!

Cruise to Africa!

We travelled from Shepperton to Africa this week. We had an African art exhibition, with paintings by one of the staff. Lively Rhythmical Tribal dancing, drawing, quiz, Reminiscence talk on wildlife Safaris & African tribal history and residents learnt a little Zulu! Not to mention a the musicals clips of Ipi Ntombi and The Lion King! Jeruselema Africa! The last leg of our world cruise! Comment from family: "Expect dad enjoyed this trip. His remembrance of Kenya and mind he doesn’t start teaching you Swahili. My claim is him telling us bedtime stories of his time with the animals and teaching “one man went to mow” in Swahili"

Table Football and Drama Class

This week we introduced Table Football which was enthusiastically played! Move to the Beat exercise class and Magic table sensory games contributed to another enjoyable day of activities. A variety of activities happening with a film show, boules game, walks in the garden making the most of the sunshine and a drama class. Some very amusing and imaginative exchanges! An energising start to the week with Qigong practice with scarves! Another lovely, fun-filled weekend at The Burlington! A lively start to the weekend with ‘disco-cise’ classes getting everyone dancing to the beat!
