Celebrating Five Years of Boutique Care Homes

Boutique Care Homes, a family-run care group, is marking a significant milestone – five years of providing exceptional care to older people across three operational homes. Founded on the principles of warmth, love, and family values, Boutique Care Homes has become a beacon of excellence in the care sector.

Reflecting on this remarkable journey, Founder and Managing Director, Ameet Kotecha shares, "Reflecting on the past five years, Boutique Care Homes has been a testament to redefining the care experience. It's not merely a service; it's about creating a haven of genuine comfort, unwavering security, and authentic connections. With the dedication of our passionate and skilled team, we have all been able to create something very special. Our family centric atmosphere across our homes including residents, their families and our teams is really at the heart of our offering. We have learnt a lot throughout our journey and continue to develop, driven by a passion to provide the highest quality care. It has been a whirlwind five years and I am incredibly proud of our team who have all been an integral part of our success.”

The journey commenced in January 2019 with the opening of The Burlington in Shepperton, Surrey. From the very beginning, the emphasis was on creating ‘a warm and loving family where everyone feels at home.’ This ethos, set the tone for a distinctive approach to care.

January 2020 witnessed the start of construction of Brampton Manor, Newmarket alongside the first of several award accreditations with The Burlington being recognised as finalists in the Knight Frank Luxury Care Home Awards, highlighting the high standards set by Boutique Care Homes early in its journey.

The growth trajectory continued with Brampton Manor's opening in June 2021, followed quickly by the launch of construction on Chartwell House in Broadstairs. The commitment to excellence was further underscored by being finalists at the 2022 Health Investor Awards, acknowledging Boutique Care Homes as a standout Property Developer and Small Residential Care Provider.

December 2022 marked a moment of triumph when The Burlington secured the Care Home of the Year accolade at the Surrey Care Awards 2022. This award affirmed the commitment to delivering unparalleled care and the profound impact Boutique Care Homes had on its local  community.

At  the heart of Boutique Care Homes' philosophy, Andrew Mangion, the Operations Director, articulates a commitment that resonates deeply: "At Boutique Care Homes, our commitment is simple yet profound – we create communities  where residents flourish, encouraging independence and providing opportunities for residents to try new hobbies and rekindle old ones. It’s not just care; it’s a genuine understanding of what makes a home, and we take pride in creating that for our residents.”

The opening of Chartwell House in January 2023 marked a new chapter in Boutique Care Homes' legacy, the home being the first of its kind in Thanet and setting new standards in designing care homes for people living with dementia. The subsequent recognition as finalists at the Leaders in Care Awards in September 2023 reinforced the group’s reputation as a contender for Best Care Group and Best Care Home Design.

The pinnacle of the providers journey thus far was in November 2023 when Boutique Care Homes was honoured with the prestigious Best Care Group (Small) of the Year award at the 25th National Care Awards. This accolade not only celebrated the incredible journey of Boutique Care Homes but also set the stage for a future characterised by continued excellence, exceptional quality and innovation.

Priya Bhayani, Quality Director comments, “Quality is an intrinsic ingredient at Boutique Care Homes that filters through all areas of service. Our environments are more than places to live; they are designed to make every moment enjoyable and comfortable. Being small allows us to be personal, ensuring each resident feels at home, with a real community focus, where friendships develop between residents, families and team.”

As Boutique Care Homes looks to the future, Ameet Kotecha envisions a continued commitment to redefining care. He says, "Our vision is to grow at a steady pace, maintaining quality at the heart of what we do. Our future homes will continue to embody our ethos of being a warm and loving family where everyone feels at home."

Boutique Care Homes is excited about the expansion of its family of care homes, including Keymer Hall in Burgess Hill, West Sussex; Martello Manor in Hythe, Kent; The Addington in Woodley Green, Berkshire; Baylis Hall in Maidenhead, Berkshire, as well as upcoming homes in Deal and Canterbury, Kent.

This five-year milestone is not just a celebration of the past; it's a promise for the future—a promise of unwavering commitment to quality care. Boutique Care Homes will be celebrating this auspicious five-year mark with a programme of events for residents, families, team and community over the course of 2024. A year to celebrate and mark everything that makes Boutique Care Homes unique and truly special!
