Brampton Manor Donates Generously to Community Food Bank

Newmarket based, Brampton Manor Care Home, made a special visit to the Newmarket Community Day Centre to take along much needed food donations for the most vulnerable living in the local community.

Having collected the wide variety of items over several weeks, Wellbeing Manager, Harry MacDonald and Admissions Manager, James Chandler, lovingly delivered the donations to the valuable community foodbank and spent some time with New Market Day Centre staff and visitors.

The Newmarket Day Centre is a much-needed local resource in the heart of the town offering vital services for those that need them, with the donations the centre can re-stock their shop and make sure that anyone struggling this winter have access to food and supplies as we enter winter.

Veronica Fixe, the Newmarket Day Centre Manager, was delighted following the substantial donation:

“A very generous donation from Brampton Manor, I am overwhelmed by the generosity shown by the staff and residents.  This means so much to those in the local area that are already finding it hard coming into winter, our food bank allows those in need to come along, have a coffee and take vital items with them if they are struggling”

Staff at Brampton Manor have been ensuring that the home and the residents living at the care home are at the heart of the local community and to be able to contribute to the Centre’s food bank was very important to them.

Brampton Manor’s Wellbeing Manager, Harry MacDonald was all too aware of the challenges facing people across the community:

“We all know how the cost-of-living crisis has pushed more and more people to the brink in terms of money, bills and everything that comes with that, to be able to donate to the centre was incredibly important to us at Brampton Manor as we continue to support the local community”

Boutique Care Homes embodies eight core values and they endeavour to extend these out to the wider the community. United, is a central pillar of those values where the belief is to be “a united family coming together to create something extraordinary.” – Team and residents certainly embraced this value in coming together to collect on behalf of the Newmarket Day Centre, who in themselves have created a truly extraordinary community asset.
