Coffee Connections back by popular demand!
The re-launch of the hugely popular coffee mornings at The Burlington will take place on Wednesday 15th February and continue every third Wednesday of the month thereafter.
With a focus on community, friendship and socialising, the coffee morning at the care home was originally launched in 2019 and was a popular addition on the local calendar, supporting people across Shepperton to make new friends and reduce the risk of becoming socially isolated.
Now back in its new guise as ‘Coffee Connections’, attendees will be able to enjoy regular coffee mornings which will feature great food, great company and regular entertainment and activities.
Emma Dudhee, Home Manager at The Burlington spoke on the importance of this relaunch:
“Re-launching our coffee morning is a major moment in The Burlington story and we are so excited to welcome the community back into our home. Coffee Connections will be the perfect group for anyone in Shepperton looking for regular companionship and community.”
Kirsty Ford, Admissions Manager at The Burlington, who focuses on community development at the home sited the impact of the event:
“People across Shepperton keep asking when our coffee morning was returning so to be able to relaunch it in the new and improved form of Coffee Connections is a proud moment. All too often we hear that people have become isolated as a result of the pandemic and it is our hope that we will be able to support them become more involved in their community again.”
