Boules and Arts & Crafts

We had a lovely balmy day for Boules. First time winner Betty beat 4 times winner Gwen.
The art and craft class produced some lovely Cherry blossoms ready for Wednesday’s theme day.
Morning Qigong chair and standing class and games. A relaxing Sunday, art and Nostalgia wing (our dementia care unit) enjoying putting. 

Indoor Golf and Dancercise

Saturday games in the afternoon, introducing indoor golf putting which some residents have taken up for the first time and really enjoyed. A competitive game of boules in the garden. Saturday morning’s Hoop class and a Greatest hit Dancercise class. Zoom calls and family visits as always lifting spirits tremendously. Friday’s energy and mood boost - Drawing, Juke Box music requests, move to the beat and sing along were thoroughly enjoyed. 

Manicures and Yoga

A lovely day of Pampering this Thursday with hair dressing and manicuring. Chit chat social with great music, magazines and very competitive game of Boules on the freshly mowed grass! Yoga Stretch and Bullseye games to start the day. Close match at first then Alvin was a high score winner with 3 bullseye throws in one round! 

The Burlington in Shepperton cruises to China!

A day in China! Intricate Paper craft decorations with our expert Karen, kept everyone busy, a Chinese Quiz and History with the gentle strains of traditional Chinese music giving the day an authontic feeling. Topping it all with a Chinese lunch and dinner.
"I can’t believe all the wonderful ideas you guys come up with. Keep doing what you are doing so well." 
We practised the ancient old Qi gong system of flowing movement which everyone is becoming very proficient at. A talk on History of Ancient China with displays of the terracotta army and artefacts.The incredible Chinese Ballet and Circus!

Poetry and Croquet

New Magic table games- virtual painting was fascinating. Poetry reading and reciting by John for the first time was delightful.
A game of croquet was great fun with friendly competition. Several loved ones called for a zoom which brings the greatest cheer. Bob Marley grooving at the Burlington and a game of skittles. A keep fit and fabulous exercise to Country and Westetn favourites was enjoyed in the Piano Bar.
