Boutique Care Homes Announces Townsend Chase in Maidenhead, Honouring 130-Year Legacy
Boutique Care Homes is delighted to announce plans for its newest care home, Townsend Chase, in Maidenhead, providing exceptional residential care, dementia care and short stays, whilst honouring more than a century of local heritage.
Designed to promote well-being and a strong sense of community, Townsend Chase will offer residents a vibrant and engaging lifestyle. Coupled with Boutique Care Homes’ signature care, facilities will include beautifully appointed ensuite bedrooms, a bistro, elegant lounges, dining rooms, sensory rooms, a beauty therapy salon, hobby rooms, and landscaped gardens.
Townsend Chase will mark a significant milestone as Boutique Care Homes’ first fully electric home, eliminating gas entirely and setting a new sustainability standard for the company’s portfolio. As part of their commitment to preserving and enriching the natural environment, enhanced landscape design will improve habitats for natural species, including water features that support biodiversity.
The name Townsend Chase honours the Townsend family, who were devoted custodians of the Victorian villa for over 100 years. Philip Limbrach Townsend, a respected local dignitary, acquired the property around 1910, and his family maintained its character through a family trust until 2022. The Townsend family name represents 130 years of heritage directly connected to the site. Philip Limbrach Townsend is buried just 200 metres away at All Saints Cemetery.
The development has been sensitively designed to blend with the local area, using a varied materials palette that breaks up the building mass and respects the neighbourhood’s character. This project represents a significant investment in Maidenhead’s future, creating career opportunities ranging from care professionals to hospitality, housekeeping, activities coordination and management roles.
Ameet Kotecha, Founder and Managing Director of Boutique Care Homes, expressed his enthusiasm for the project, “We are thrilled to bring our award-winning care to Maidenhead. When we learned about the Townsend family’s story and their dedication to this property for over a century, we knew we had to honour that legacy. Our vision is to create a care home that not only offers exceptional care but also celebrates the heritage and character of this special place. We look forward to welcoming local residents and their families to experience care so good, it’s unexpected at Boutique Care Homes.”
Tom Duck, Development Director added “Townsend Chase represents our commitment to both exceptional care and environmental responsibility. As our first fully electric home, we’re leading the way in sustainable care while bringing our Life Enrichment Programme and award-winning Nostalgia Care to Maidenhead families.”
With the introduction of Townsend Chase, Boutique Care Homes reaffirms its commitment to delivering exceptional care in thoughtfully designed environments that foster a true sense of community. This exciting addition to Maidenhead is set to become a cherished home for older people, a hub for the community, and a place where lives are enriched every day.
