Our dementia care focuses on promoting independence and quality of life through memory-supportive activities, life story work, and a calm, structured environment. While we do not specialise in advanced dementia care, our team is trained to support mild to moderate dementia needs.

We support residents with mild to moderate dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, vascular dementia, and mixed dementia. Our person-centred approach ensures every resident’s needs are met with dignity and respect.

Short Stays, including respite care, offer temporary support for recovery or relief for family carers. Residents enjoy the same high-quality care, engaging activities, and amenities as full-time residents, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience.

Fees start at £1,595per week at Chartwell House (Broadstairs, Kent), £1,575 at Brampton Manor (Newmarket, Suffolk), £1,700 at The Burlington (Shepperton, Surrey), £1,700 at Keymer Hall (Burgess Hill, West Sussex) and £1,600 at Martello Manor (Hythe, Kent). Costs depend on room choice and care needs. Fees are finalised after a pre-admission assessment to ensure they reflect the personalised care required.

Most residents self-fund through savings, pensions, or property. Local authority funding, including Deferred Payment Agreements or 12-Week Disregards, is accepted, though third-party top-ups may be required.

We require 3 years proof of funding prior to a permanent stay taking place and recommend seeking professional financial advice to plan for care funding.

Fees are reviewed annually, typically in April, to reflect inflation and operational costs. Other non-annual increase may apply, such as change in care needs. Residents receive at least 28 days’ notice of any increase. Fees remain payable during short-term absences, such as hospital stays, to reserve the room.

Permanent residents require 28 days’ written notice to terminate the agreement. Short stays require at least 7 days’ notice. New residents benefit from a four-week trial period, during which a 48-hour notice period applies to end the agreement.

We understand circumstances can change so we work with families to explore funding options, including local authority support, which may require third-party top-ups. However, if alternative funding sources cannot cover fees, we will work with you to explore other care home options that may better align with your budget.

If care needs go beyond our services, we collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to facilitate a smooth transition to a more suitable nursing home, prioritising the resident’s wellbeing.

Daily life at Boutique Care Homes is tailored to each resident. Mornings include breakfast and personal care routines, followed by activities such as art classes, fitness sessions, or outings. Evenings are relaxed, allowing time for socialising, entertainment, or private rest.

Yes, residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with meaningful items, such as photos or a favourite chair, to create a homely feel. We recommend arranging insurance for valuable belongings.

Yes, residents can enjoy family visits or holidays if safe to do so. Care fees remain payable during their absence to reserve their room and ensure continuity upon their return.

In the event of a resident’s passing, Boutique Care Homes provides compassionate support to families and ensures belongings are returned promptly. Fees are payable for up to three days after the room is cleared.
