Brampton Manor Marks Five Years with a Community Celebration
Newmarket’s Brampton Manor Care Home celebrated its fifth birthday on in June with a summer afternoon that brought together residents, their families, and the home’s full team.
The festivities ran from 2pm to 4pm and included live entertainment, a penalty shootout open to all ages, and a BBQ prepared by Head Chef Adrian and the kitchen team. Entertainment was provided by Dave and Anne Parry, whose music set the tone throughout. The afternoon was filled with singing, dancing, laughter, and the kind of easy conversation that comes from people who genuinely enjoy each other’s company.
Across the afternoon, residents, family members, and staff echoed the same sentiment: they hadn’t wanted it to end.
Akhi Goswami, Home Manager at Brampton Manor, said: “Days like Saturday remind you why this job matters. It wasn’t just a party, it was a reminder of what we’ve built here over five years. Seeing our residents laughing, getting involved in the penalty shootout, dancing with their families… that’s the Brampton Manor we’re proud of. The energy was something really special, and I’m so grateful to everyone who came and made it what it was.”
Martin Murphy, Director of Operations at Boutique Care Homes, added: “Five years ago, we opened Brampton Manor with one conviction: that care should feel like home. What I saw on Saturday was that belief brought to life. The warmth between residents, their families, and the team isn’t something you can manufacture. It’s built slowly, through thousands of small moments of kindness. I’m incredibly proud of every single person at Brampton Manor.”
The celebration also reflected the broader community spirit that has come to define the home, with the penalty shootout drawing plenty of friendly competition and a few impressive shots on goal.
The milestone comes at a time when Brampton Manor continues to receive strong feedback from residents’ families. One daughter of a current resident said: “From the very beginning, the team made a difficult and emotional transition feel much easier. They showed genuine care, kindness, and professionalism at every step. The staff are attentive and compassionate, always treating my mum with dignity and respect. It’s clear they take the time to understand each resident as an individual, which has made a real difference to her comfort and wellbeing.”
Five years in, Brampton Manor is as much a home as it has ever been.
