Keymer’s Spring Fling: A Day to Celebrate Community
We’re thrilled to invite you to Keymer’s Spring Fling on Saturday 25th April—a celebration of Keymer Hall’s official opening and the wonderful community we’re now part of. From 11am to 3pm, join us for a day filled with live music, entertainment, local organisations, delicious food, and the chance to explore our beautiful new care home.
A very special guest
We’re sad to share that due to unforeseen circumstances, Judy Parfitt is unable to join us on the day. We wish her well and hope to welcome her to Keymer Hall another time.
However, we’re absolutely delighted to welcome Virginia Lewis-Jones, daughter of the legendary Dame Vera Lynn, as our guest of honour in her place. Virginia will officially open Keymer Hall at midday and, in true Vera Lynn spirit, she’ll be staying for the afternoon to meet guests and share stories of her mother’s remarkable life and career.
For a generation who grew up with Dame Vera Lynn’s voice, this is a truly special opportunity to meet the woman who knew her best.
Live music from Sussex legend Glen Richardson and the Plumpton Choir
Music lovers are in for a treat with Sussex musical legend Glen Richardson performing two sets—at 11.30am and 1.30pm—followed by the beautiful harmonies of the Plumpton Choir from 2pm to 3pm. These performances perfectly capture the spirit of our Life Enrichment Programme, where music and connection bring residents, families, and the community together.
Burgess Hill’s community organisations join us for the day
We’re proud to welcome an incredible lineup of local community organisations joining us for the day, including the Repair Café, Befriended, Sheddingdean Church, Burgess Hill Town Council and Youth Council, Susan Mitchell Crafts, Woodlands Meed College, Dicker House Pre-School, Burgess Hill Girls, Music Bus with Maggie, Laura King flower arranging, and Toby Sansom puppets. The 7th Burgess Hill Scouts will be serving up their legendary BBQ, while Indulgent Ice Creams brings their vintage ice cream van filled with luxury treats.
We will also be joined by Burgess Hill Fire Brigade who will be bringing along one of their tenders for you to explore!
Everyone is welcome, come and see Keymer Hall for yourself
This is your chance to see Keymer Hall for yourself and meet the team who’ll be caring for our residents. Whether you’re considering care for a loved one, curious about our approach, or simply want to celebrate with us, everyone is welcome.
