More About Diabetes

According to Diabetes UK, Diabetes is a serious condition where the blood glucose level is too high, and it can happen when your body doesn’t produce enough insulin or the insulin it produces isn’t effective, or when your body cannot produce any insulin at all.

There are two main types of diabetes such as Type 1 and Type 2. However, there are lots of other types of diabetes such as gestational diabetes, type 3c, MODY and Latent Autoimmune Diabetes in Adults (LADA).

The symptoms of diabetes can depend on the type of diabetes you have. But the common symptoms include going to the toilet a lot, being thirsty, feeling more tired than usual, losing weight without trying to, genital itching or thrush, cuts and wounds taking longer to heal, and blurred vision.

To learn more about the signs and symptoms of diabetes, you can read about it on the Diabetes UK website here: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/about-diabetes/symptoms
