Keymer Hall Opens “Hillians Snug” in Celebration of Community Partnership with Burgess Hill Town Football Club
Keymer Hall Care Home in Burgess Hill is proud to announce the official opening of its newest communal space, the “Hillians Snug,” named in honour of Burgess Hill Town Football Club and reflecting the home’s strong and ongoing connection with the local community.
The Hillians Snug was officially opened during a special visit from David Corney, Owner and Director of Burgess Hill Town Football Club, alongside Vicky, Dave and Gary from the club, who were welcomed into the home to cut the ribbon and mark the occasion. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for residents, families and team members to come together and celebrate a partnership rooted in shared local pride.
Designed as a warm and cosy space, the Hillians Snug offers residents and their families a private, comfortable environment to spend meaningful time together. Keymer Hall proudly features memorabilia and photographs from Burgess Hill Town Football Club, sparking conversation, reminiscence and storytelling among residents, many of whom fondly recalled “the old days” of local football while exploring the images provided by the club. The club has also committed to further supporting the space, with plans for players to visit and sign the shirt displayed in the corridors of Keymer Hall.
Keymer Hall is a proud sponsor of Hillian’s TV, and the creation of the Hillians Snug reflects how this partnership extends far beyond the football pitch. It highlights the home’s commitment to building genuine community connections that enhance daily life for residents and create a sense of belonging.
Jenna, from Keymer Hall, commented: “Community partnerships are incredibly important to us at Keymer Hall. They help keep our residents connected to the place they call home and to the memories, people and passions that have shaped their lives. Our partnership with Burgess Hill Town Football Club, and the opening of the Hillians Snug is a perfect example of how meaningful these connections can be, not just for our residents, but for our team and families too.”
The opening of the Hillians Snug is just one of many ways Keymer Hall continues to engage with its local community, ensuring residents remain connected to the world around them while enjoying a warm, supportive and familiar environment.
Keymer Hall would like to thank Burgess Hill Town Football Club for their continued support and for helping to create a space filled with local pride, shared memories and community spirit.
