Third Consecutive carehome.co.uk Top 20 Group Award for Boutique Care Homes

Boutique Care Homes has been named a Top 20 Small Care Home Group for the third year running, while The Burlington in Shepperton has earned its first-ever individual award as a Top 20 Care Home in South East England in carehome.co.uk’s 2026 Top 20 Care Home Awards.

The awards, announced on 25th February 2026, recognise the most recommended care homes and care home groups across the UK based on verified reviews from residents, families, and visitors.

“These awards mean everything to us because they’re based entirely on feedback from the families who trust us with their loved ones,” said Ameet Kotecha, Founder and Managing Director of Boutique Care Homes. “To win the group award for three consecutive years is a real honour. But seeing The Burlington recognised individually for the first time makes this even more special. Margie and her team have built something remarkable, and I couldn’t be prouder.”

Perfect Scores Across the Group

The Burlington’s perfect 10/10 review score (from 119 reviews) reflects the home’s warm family atmosphere, attentive care, and genuine dedication to residents’ wellbeing. Chartwell House in Broadstairs also holds a perfect 10/10 score (from 50 reviews), while Brampton Manor in Newmarket achieved 9.9/10 (from 76 reviews). Keymer Hall in Burgess Hill, which opened late last year, is already welcoming its founding residents.

One recent review from a son whose mother moved to The Burlington captures the transformation many families witness: “Mum’s worst nightmare was the very thought of moving into a care home. Yet she has absolutely flourished at the Burlington… I can’t think how it could be bettered.”

At Chartwell House, a daughter searching for dementia care for her mother described the moment she knew she’d found the right place: “Some of the places I visited were good, others broke my heart… The moment the doors swished open, I knew this was the place for us… it wasn’t just the décor and facilities, it was the ‘feeling’ that the place had.”

Families at Brampton Manor consistently praise the impact of respite care. One daughter wrote: “Mum came to Brampton Manor for 3 weeks respite… We cannot fault the premises, staff and care at all… She looked quite poorly when she first went in but when we picked her up looked so well and she said it had done her good.”

“These awards belong to our entire team,” said Margielyn Gonzaga, Home Manager at The Burlington. “Every carer, every member of the kitchen team, housekeeping, activities—everyone plays a part in creating a home where residents truly thrive. I’m privileged to work alongside such dedicated people.”

What the Awards Mean

The carehome.co.uk Top 20 Awards are based purely on the Group Review Score, calculated from the average review scores of all member homes. It’s a recognition that can’t be bought or manufactured. It comes directly from the people who matter most: residents and their families.

What families consistently mention in their reviews is the Life Enrichment Programme, Boutique Care Homes’ holistic approach built on six principles of wellbeing: Contribute, Grow, Reflect, Feel, Move, and Connect. It’s not just about activities for the sake of it. It’s about creating opportunities for residents to live meaningful, connected lives.

The recognition comes just weeks after Margielyn Gonzaga won the Eminent Woman of Impact Award at the Women’s Community Impact Awards Dorset 2026, recognising her leadership and community engagement.

“Care isn’t just about ticking boxes or meeting standards,” said Ameet. “It’s about creating a life for residents that’s filled with meaning, connection, and joy. That’s what our BOUTIQUE values are all about, and these awards tell us families can see it and feel it when they visit.”
