Two Brilliant Reasons to Visit The Burlington This June
Care Home Open Week is back, and at The Burlington in Shepperton, we’re marking it with two events that are a little different from the usual open day fare. Think football trivia, walking football, and plenty of reasons to come and see what life at The Burlington really looks like.

Football Trivia Showdown
Wednesday 17th June, 11:00–12:00
If you know your Geoff Hurst from your Gary Lineker, this one’s for you.
On Wednesday 17th June, we’re hosting a Football Trivia Showdown right here at the home. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or someone who just enjoys a good quiz, it’s a fun way to spend a morning with family, friends, or new faces from the local community.
You’ll get to put your football knowledge to the test, enjoy some friendly competition, and spend time with people who share the same love of the beautiful game. And while you’re here, you’re very welcome to take a tour of The Burlington and see what makes our home tick.
The event runs from 11:00 to 12:00. No registration needed. Just come along.
Walking Football Taster
Saturday 20th June, 11:00–12:00
This one is a little more active. On Saturday 20th June, The Burlington is joining forces with Sheppertonesses Women’s Walking Football Club for a Walking Football Taster session.
Walking football is exactly what it sounds like: the pace is slower, the game is just as spirited. It’s designed to keep you active and social, regardless of your fitness level or experience. The Sheppertonesses will be on hand to walk you through the basics, run some drills, and get a game going.
Whether you’ve never kicked a ball in your life or you miss playing regularly, this is a welcoming session for all ages and abilities. Come and see what all the fuss is about.
Again, doors open at 11:00 and the session wraps up at 12:00. All are welcome.
