You’re Invited! Chartwell House To Host Community Hub
Chartwell House is delighted to announce that we will be hosting a Community Hub Event on Monday 14th October 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:30pm. The event will take place at Chartwell House car park and is designed to bring people together from across the Broadstairs community, offering support, guidance, and connection in a welcoming environment.
The afternoon will feature contributions from several local organisations, each offering valuable services and advice, with more community partners to be announced soon:
- Diabetic Eye Screening Team – Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in on-the-day screening tests, with the team also providing expert advice on the importance of regular checks. They will share guidance on how to spot the early signs of diabetes and explain the many benefits of early detection and intervention.
- Ramsgate Fire Station – Representatives will be on hand to offer practical fire safety advice, share their expertise, and connect with members of the community.
- Barclays Fraud Team – With fraud safety on the rise, the Barclays team will lead an important discussion on scams that particularly target the older generation. They will also highlight the risks facing the older generation and raise awareness on how to stay safe, spot suspicious activity, and protect against fraud.
Chartwell House is especially proud to be hosting this event as a Veteran Friendly Care Home, following our recent accreditation. Supporting the veteran community is central to our mission, and this Community Hub is one way we hope to provide valuable resources, practical advice, and a sense of empowerment to veteran in the local area. However, this event is open to all: residents of Chartwell House and their families, our dedicated team, local veterans and members of the wider Broadstairs community.
We warmly welcome everyone to join us on the 14th October and look forward to an afternoon of learning, sharing, and supporting one another.
