Autumn has arrived, and so has the latest edition of The Chartwell Post, packed with uplifting stories, achievements, and community spirit from life at Chartwell House.
This edition highlights our win at the Kent Care Awards 2025. Our Home Manager, Diane has been recognised for her innovative, values-led approach to creating a workplace where people truly thrive, grow, and belong. Also, our Admissions Manager, Jude has been recognised for her work in enhancing the lives of people living with dementia, both at Chartwell House and across the Thanet community.
We’re also delighted to celebrate our 3rd annual Dementia Friendly Folk Concert, created in partnership with Broadstairs Folk Week. Broadstairs Folk Week celebrated its 60th Anniversary.
One of the most inspiring stories in this edition comes from Eileen Todd. a tapestry of resilience, adventure and family love. Her memories stretches right back to her childhood.
This edition also features a resident recipe for Lemon Drizzle Cake, a much-loved classic and only 80 mins of preparation and cooking time!
