Brampton Manor Named Finalist at the Suffolk Care Awards

Brampton Manor, Newmarket, is a Large Provider of the Year finalist at the Suffolk Care Awards 2026, recognising its resident-led care and community work.

Brampton Manor by Boutique Care Homes, situated in Newmarket, Suffolk, has been named a finalist for Large Team of the Year at the Suffolk Care Awards 2026.

The shortlisting recognises a year in which 100% of residents, families and professionals surveyed said they would recommend the home, and every resident said they were treated with kindness, dignity and respect, with a genuine say in their own care.

That trust rests on exceptional continuity. Team retention at Brampton Manor stands at 98.5%, with 0% agency use, meaning residents are cared for by familiar faces who know their stories, preferences and needs. Thirteen team members completed further qualifications over the past year, a reflection of a culture where development and professional pride are actively encouraged.

Leadership has played its part. Home Manager Akhi Goswami, who won the Inspirational Leader award at last year’s Suffolk Care Awards, brings 15 years of experience and a personal, visible approach to the role. “Being named a finalist again reflects what our team delivers for residents and families every single day,” said Akhi Goswami. “It’s their consistency, their warmth and the relationships they build that residents and families notice and talk about, and that’s what this recognition is really for.”

The home’s approach to innovation has also been purposeful rather than incidental. Brampton Manor adopted More Days Studio to strengthen its Life Enrichment Programme, moving beyond simply recording engagement to understanding its real impact on residents’ wellbeing, connection and quality of life, and adapting support as individual needs change.

Community connection runs through the same philosophy. In partnership with Newmarket Community Nature Reserve, residents planted five fruit trees for the town’s green corridor, linking with the reserve’s allotment and greenhouse. Plans are already under way for how the fruit might be used in the home’s own baking, creating purpose for residents today and a legacy for Newmarket’s wildlife and community tomorrow.

Ameet Kotecha, Founder and Managing Director of Boutique Care Homes, said: “This recognition reflects what we set out to build at Brampton Manor: a home genuinely connected to Newmarket, accountable to the residents and families who live there rather than to anyone else.” He added that it felt fitting for that connection to be recognised in the Suffolk Care Awards’ milestone tenth year, a decade spent honouring the people behind social care across the county.

With a 9.9 score on carehome.co.uk and a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, Brampton Manor’s finalist place reflects what happens when stable teams, visible leadership, resident voice, continual development and genuine community connection work together. That is care so good, it’s unexpected.

The Suffolk Care Awards 2026 ceremony takes place on 25 November 2026.
