Lego School Holiday Club at Brampton Manor
Things to Do with Kids in the School Holidays Near Newmarket
The school holidays are brilliant, right up until the moment your children look at you and say, “I’m bored.”
If you’re based in or around Newmarket and looking for something genuinely fun to fill an afternoon, Brampton Manor has a standing invitation for families: our Lego Holiday Club, run in collaboration with EPIC Dad.
It’s free. It’s creative. And it happens right here at our care home on Fordham Road.
What Is the Lego Holiday Club?
The Lego Holiday Club is a regular school-holiday session for children and their families, hosted at Brampton Manor by Boutique Care Homes in Newmarket (CB8 7AQ).
Sessions run from 14:00 to 16:00 and are open to families looking for a fun, hands-on afternoon activity during the school breaks. Children get stuck into creative Lego builds in a relaxed, welcoming environment, and parents get a couple of hours where “I’m bored” is firmly off the table.
The sessions are run with EPIC Dad, a family engagement organisation built around the idea that dads (and all involved parents and carers) play a vital role in children’s learning and wellbeing.
Why a Care Home?
Fair question. Here’s our thinking.
At Brampton Manor, we believe care homes should be part of the community, not separate from it. Our residents have decades of stories, skills, and warmth to share, and children bring energy and joy that no activity programme can replicate on its own.
Events like the Lego Holiday Club are part of how we stay connected to the families and neighbourhoods around us. When kids visit, something good happens on both sides of that conversation.
So if you’ve never been to a care home before, or assumed it wasn’t a place for young families: come and see for yourself.
Who Can Come?
The Lego Holiday Club is open to families with children of all ages. Whether your child is just starting to stack bricks or is already building architectural masterpieces, there’s a place for them here.
Spaces are limited, so we ask families to register in advance by calling us on 01638 598 827.
When Is the Next Session?
We run Lego Holiday Club sessions across the main school holidays throughout the year. Dates are confirmed a few weeks before each break, so the best way to find out when the next one is, and to grab a space, is to give us a call.
Call 01638 598 827 to ask about upcoming dates and to register your place.
We’d love to see you.
