You’re Invited: Explore Martello Manor at Our July Open Day
Hythe has a brand new care home, and we want you to come and see it for yourself.
On Thursday 30th July, from 10:00 to 16:00, we are opening the doors of Martello Manor and inviting you, your family, and anyone curious about care to come and spend some time with us. No pressure, no hard sell. Just a warm welcome, a chance to look around, and an opportunity to get a genuine feel for what life here is really like.
What to Expect on the Day
This is your chance to explore Martello Manor at your own pace. Walk through our beautifully designed spaces, see the en-suite bedrooms, the bistro, the gardens, and all the thoughtful details that make this feel less like a care home and more like somewhere you would actually want to be.
You will also have the chance to meet the people who make Martello Manor what it is. Our team will be on hand throughout the day to answer your questions, share what daily life looks like here, and talk through anything that matters to you, whether that is care needs, finances, or simply what a typical Tuesday afternoon looks like for our residents.
Home Manager Marlene Abreu knows exactly what that first visit means for families. “When I walk families around Martello Manor, I always see the moment something shifts for them,” she says. “They arrive expecting a care home and they find somewhere they could genuinely imagine their loved one being happy. That moment matters to me. Come and experience it for yourself on the 30th.”
Why Come?
Choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make. We know that photographs and brochures only tell part of the story. The best way to understand what Martello Manor is truly about is to step inside, meet our team, and feel the atmosphere for yourself.
We also know that many families start thinking about care options well before they need them. If that is where you are right now, this open day is the perfect, low-key starting point. Jude Coveney, our Admissions Manager, will be there throughout the day to answer your questions and help guide you. “Every family I speak to tells me the same thing: they wish they had started looking sooner,” she says. “This open day is a chance to come with no agenda, ask every question you have been sitting on, and leave feeling clearer and more confident.”
